Let's work together to keep our Island beautiful!
Please join the Harsen's Island St. Clair Flats Association (HISCFA) in the annual MDOT Adopt-a-Highway roadside cleanup. Join your friends and neighbors to gain some satisfaction from cleaning up a section of our roadside while socializing and having some laughs!
Volunteers should arrive at St. Mark Church by 10:00 to be assigned to a team. The clean up is expected to take less than 2 hours. Plan to wear boots and gloves, and bring along a rake or tool to reach the trash. HISCFA will supply safety vests and MDOT trash bags.
As a thank you for your participation, please plan to join us at 1526 afterwards for pizza and beverages!
Other Island Clean Up Activity: The Annual Flats Roadside Clean-up takes place at 10:00 on April 15. The roadside/water is in better shape this year, thanks to several people who have been picking up the trash throughout the year! Stephanie Spencer is the organizer of this clean up and will post updates as the date approaches.
